Change
I'm averse to change.

After wearing green and doing the same work and be darn good at it (even better than my predecessors) for 2 years, the prospect of having to get out into the real world and start all over again irks me. No matter how much i loathe the army and the meagre allowance that it pays for people that work harder than the ocifers (officers :P), where else in Singapore is there a job that pays you to go for morning runs, random gym sessions, free meals, tax-free beer and the multiple canteen breaks? Although the workload i handle is stressful and it never ends, at least to me, i became so used to it that it's numb.
I really do feel like a fish being put into a new fishtank.
At least at times like this, it's comforting to know that you have somebody to turn to.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matt 6:34
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and i will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for i am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matt 11:28-30
Amen.
Foobar
Actually the actual spelling would be 'Fubar'. Seen this word being used extensively in the movie 'Saving Pte Ryan' and a search on Wikipedia and Wiktionary turned up some really
interesting stuff.
This word orginated as a slang in the US Army during the second world war. If only it could replace the hokkien obscenities in the SAF. Then we would sound much more civilized or would we? Its still obscenities anyway.

Don't ever let people convince you that you can't do it because they can't. Don't limit your potential based on other peoples expectations. Realise your own potential. Believe in your dreams. You have yourself to answer to.
How so true.
