personal financial management

mm.. another sunday... somehow sundays can't be really enjoyed because at the back of your head, you will keep thinking that the next day is a monday. Reality bites..

went for dinner at adam rd foodie center with desmond, aaron and alan yesterday after service .. as usual had my favorite mutton soup :) .. had a really interesting and thought-provoking conversation over dinner... was talking about business... personal financial management.... the SIA management and stuff... business degrees at SMU/NUS... and stuff..
although i noe nuts about business and stuff... but i was captivated by the content of the conversation..

just picked up a book recently entitled 'personal financial planning' written by SMU professors.
finished reading 2 chapters of it and luckily i still had some accounting background, thus was still able to conprehend most of what i was reading.. balance sheet, profit and loss account, expenditures, deficits, surplus, cash budget.... suddently... all my accounting knowledge gained in sec school starts to flow back.... after reading this book.. it made me deeply realised what a fool i was in controlling my financial resources and cashflow...
Technically, i could be considered a bankrupt now. My net worth is unthinkable..
Gonna start seriously taking account of my finances.... seriously.. with discipline. .. Anyway many thanks to desmond for recommending me this book and to aaron for his insights.. :) was enlightening to a greenhorn like me.. hee

the previous work week was pretty much a disaster .. hope history does not repeat itself.. im still workin hard and doin my best... no matter what others might think :)

In Christ

*ponder*
by this time, the outcome should have been very clear... a unmistakable and inevitable rejection from the local universities. It would take a miracle from god to change everything.
Right now, i have to make decisions.
1 - Work a year or two and apply for local universities under CatB again. (CatC is unthinkable)
2 - Loan and study at PSB for a biotech degree from University of Western Australia
3 - Change mindset and go for business degrees from SIM
4 - Work happily as a lab tech with a diploma
5 - Get any degree and be a police inspector

I guess most likely got for 1 ... right now gathering all testimonials i could to prepare myself for my last ditch attempt at the appeals....

Thank you Dr Koh for the testimonial you wrote me.... thanks.. :) appreciate it ..
